Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin, generally associated with the B-vitamin family. It is an important cofactor in the function of carboxylases. Biotin Forte provides 5000 mcg (5 mg) of biotin per tablet. Adequate intake of biotin for adults is 30 mcg per day. It has been administered to humans in doses of up to 40 mg per day without causing adverse effects.1
