Visio Plex

Visio Plex® is a botanical/nutritional supplement designed for the support of healthy vision and eye health, especially as we age.  Visio Plex® combines multiple vitamins, minerals, botanical and other proven nutrients to provide a potent supplement to support eye health and vision‡:

Lutein – A potent antioxidant which protects both the eyes and skin.  This carotenoid phytonutrient is found in foods like leafy green vegetables, egg yolks, citrus fruits and orange vegetables.  Lutein is present in high concentration in the eyes, especially the macula and the lens.  Studies have shown that supplementation with lutein can reduce the risk of macular degeneration.‡

Zeaxanthin – Another carotenoid like lutein, zeaxanthin is found in high quantities in the eye – especially the retina and macula.  Zeaxanthin protects sensitive eye tissues which support clear vision and provides support against issues such as cataracts.‡

Vitamin A – Vitamin A (especially as beta-carotene) protects the surface of the eye, and is essential for good vision. Vitamin A, especially in combination with other antioxidant vitamins, also appears to play a role in decreasing the risk of vision loss from macular degeneration (AMD).‡

Vitamin C – A potent antioxidant, vitamin C helps to form collagen that is found in the cornea and supports capillaries found in the retina, and may reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration.‡

Vitamin E – Research suggests vitamin E may help reduce the worsening of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) among people who show early signs of the eye disease.‡

Zinc – helps your body absorb vitamin A and plays an important role in supporting antioxidant enzymes.‡

Taurine – a sulfur-containing amino acid, taurine supports vision through protection against free radicals and by participating in chemical processes that support normal vision and protect against retinal degradation.‡

Quercetin – a flavonoid, quercetin supports eye health through protection against free radicals, oxidation and collagen breakdown.‡

N-Acetyl Cysteine – a form of the amino acid cysteine, NAC provides a potent free radical scavenger, limits damage due to oxidation and supports the immune system.‡
