Mold Immunoreactivity Panel
The Mold Immunoreactivity Panel measures IgE, IgA, and IgG response to 7 common molds. Only IgG responses are measured for Stachybotrys atra. IgE reactions to molds tells us if mold allergy is part of the picture of why someone is sick from mold. Both IgG and IgE levels can help let us know about prior exposure to mold. High IgA levels to molds are thought to be indicative of colonization (mold growing in the sinuses, lungs, or GI tract). The IgE testing is recognized by conventional doctors so can be helpful with allergists, court cases, and landlord battles.
