Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Jessica Walsh, PMHNP-BC

I provide comprehensive psychiatric care for ADHD, anxiety, and depression, offering in Indianapolis, Carmel, Lafayette, and across Indiana. Having prior PhD training in biomedical sciences from Indiana University School of Medicine, I approach psychiatry through the lens of receptor binding profiles. My diagnostic process emphasizes a whole system approach. Through utilization of a whole-person comprehensive evaluation, I avoid the common pitfall of prescribing antidepressants that can destabilize mood. When warranted, we integrate metabolic health to identify a root cause or less common co-occuring diagnosis, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), homonal psychiatry (testosterone, progesterone, estrogen), perimenopause, gut dysbiosis, or inflammation that often exacerbates psychiatric symptoms. Optimized mental wellness results from receiving clinical care from a psychiatry trained expert and accounting for the brain from a system approach rather than an isolated organ.
