Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)

This test measures sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). SHBG is made by the liver and is the main binding protein for Estradiol and Testosterone. Testing SHBG with total hormone levels allows for determination of free hormone levels.
