Shana Wood
A Tallahassee, Florida native with nearly 18 years experience as a registered nurse and 8 years if experience as a nurse practitioner. My nursing career began in cardiology, which built a strong foundation for my later work as a nurse practitioner in heart failure, indigent care, primary care, medical weight management, and hormone optimization. I am WorldLink Medical Certified in hormone replacement therapy and have advanced training in optimizing hormones for both men and women, as well as thyroid health. I am passionate about looking beyond symptoms and helping patients better understand their health, feel their best, and create sustainable changes that support long-term wellness. I am also currently working on my certification in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine. Outside of work, I am a wife and a mother of two grown children. I am a lifelong learner who loves reading, continuing my education, and finding new ways to improve the care I provide. When I am not in the office, you will often find me at the drag strip enjoying drag racing with my husband. When we are not at the drag strip, you will definitely find us on the coast soaking up the sun.
