Dosage instructions

  • Dosage amount:

    1.00 Capsule

  • twice per day

  • Take with food

  • Additional notes

"Magnesium supports many processes in the body, including normal nervous-system function and relaxation. Magnesium glycinate is used here because it is generally well tolerated and tends to have less of a laxative effect than some other forms of magnesium. Check with me or your medical clinician before use if you have kidney disease or reduced kidney function. Magnesium can interfere with the absorption of some medications. Separate it from thyroid medication and iron by at least 2 hours. If you take a tetracycline or quinolone antibiotic, take the antibiotic at least 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after your magnesium. Loose stools may mean the amount is more than you tolerate comfortably."

  • Additional notes

"Omega-3 fatty acids are important structural components of brain-cell membranes and support normal neurological function and healthy inflammatory balance. This is a foundational omega-3 that may appear in more than one Balanced Mind protocol intentionally. Taking it with a meal and refrigerating the bottle may help reduce fishy aftertaste. Check with me or your medical clinician before use if you take an anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, have a bleeding disorder, have an upcoming procedure, or have a fish allergy. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your OB or medical clinician before use."

Lifestyle recommendations

Nutrition
  • Lifestyle Support for Hormonal Transitions

Prioritize calcium-rich foods. Build calcium intake from foods when possible, such as leafy greens, beans, tofu, fortified plant milks, tahini, almonds, and other calcium-rich foods. Supplemental calcium may be considered individually when dietary intake is not enough or when bone-health needs are identified.

Include regular strength and weight-bearing movement. Resistance training, walking, and other weight-bearing activity support bone health, physical function, mood, and overall well-being through hormonal transitions.

Protect sleep and stress regulation. Hormonal transitions can affect sleep quality and stress tolerance. A consistent sleep schedule, regular wind-down routine, and daily stress-management practice can support overall well-being.
