Magnesium Glycinate Liquid Dosing Schedule (Pure Encapsulations)

Goal: To buffer excitotoxicity, support sleep, and manage "start-up" symptoms from Folinic Acid.

Instructions:

Start Low: Begin with the "Starting Dose" for 3–5 days to ensure gut tolerance.
Titrate Up: If stools remain formed (no diarrhea) and symptoms persist, increase toward the "Therapeutic Target."
The "Poop Test": If stools become loose or watery, reduce the dose to the previous level.
Timing: Best given at bedtime to support calm and sleep.

Dosing

Concentration: 1 Teaspoon (5 mL) = 82.5 mg Elemental Magnesium

Ages 2 – 3 years:
- Start: 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) daily [~41 mg]
- Target: 1 tsp (5 mL) daily [~82 mg] if tolerated.
Ages 4 – 8 years:
- Start: 1 tsp (5 mL) daily [~82 mg]
- Target: 1.5 to 2 tsp (7.5 – 10 mL) daily [~123 – 165 mg]
Ages 9 – 13 years:
- Start: 2 tsp (10 mL) daily [165 mg]
- Target: 3 tsp (15 mL) daily [~247 mg]
Ages 14+ & Adults:
- Start: 2 tsp (10 mL) daily [165 mg]
- Target: 4 tsp (20 mL) daily [330 mg] (Ideally split into morning and evening doses)
