Modified Citrus pectin may help remove heavy metals from the body and improve cardiovascular health, kidney and liver disease. It has also been used in cancer treatment. Use for autoimmune conditions is being researched or trialed.

Citrus bioflavonoids or modified citrus pectin have been used for weight control and Metabolic Syndrome conditions.

Modified citrus pectin is shortened lengths of the pectin which seems to improve efficacy to block galectin- which is inflammatory.
