Each immediate-release tablet provides 500 mg of high-potency niacin as nicotinic acid (also known as crystalline niacin) in a proprietary vegetable-based wax matrix. The tablet dissolves more slowly than regular immediate-release formulas, gradually releasing nicotinic acid in just under one hour rather than all at once.
