Thyroid Function Package

This panel checks how your thyroid is functioning and looks for signs of an autoimmune thyroid condition. It measures TSH, the signal that tells your thyroid to produce hormones, along with free T4 and free T3, the available forms of thyroid hormones that help regulate energy, metabolism, and body temperature. It also checks TPO antibodies, which are associated with autoimmune thyroid conditions, especially Hashimoto’s disease. Testing may help investigate fatigue, unexplained weight changes, sensitivity to heat or cold, bowel changes, or a racing heartbeat. Positive antibodies do not always mean your thyroid is functioning abnormally.
