Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) measures 14 substances in your blood to provide a broad picture of your body’s chemical balance and kidney and liver health. It checks glucose (blood sugar), electrolytes that help regulate fluid and acid-base balance, calcium, and proteins such as albumin. It also measures creatinine and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) to help assess kidney function, along with liver enzymes and bilirubin to look for signs of liver or bile duct problems. Testing can help investigate symptoms, monitor certain medications, and follow existing health conditions.
