CBC with Differential and Platelets

The Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Differential measures the cells in your blood to help assess your overall health. It evaluates red blood cells, which carry oxygen; white blood cells, which help fight infection; and platelets, which help your blood clot. It also measures hemoglobin, hematocrit, and red blood cell size. The differential breaks down the types of white blood cells, providing additional clues about immune activity. Testing can help investigate fatigue, weakness, fever, frequent infections, or unusual bruising and bleeding. Results may suggest anemia, infection, inflammation, or certain blood disorders, but additional testing is often needed to identify the cause.
