C-Reactive Protein, Inflammation (CRP) is a blood test that measures the level of CRP, a protein made by the liver in response to acute inflammation. Elevated CRP levels can indicate infection, injury, or chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease.
