GI-MAP® (GI Microbial Assay Plus)
Research overwhelmingly indicates that gut health impacts overall health. The gut microbiome plays a critical role in mediating the effects of diet, digestion, immunity, metabolic function, and more. This GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) test is truly unique in the field – relying exclusively on quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to detect parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more by targeting the specific DNA of the organisms tested. The quantitative insights provided in this process, known for accuracy and reliability, allow practitioners to create more personalized treatment protocols for optimizing gut function and addressing dysfunction.

This test includes a measurement of zonulin, a protein that modulates the permeability of tight junctions between cells of the wall of the digestive tract. It is used to help diagnose intestinal permeability/leaky gut.
The Organic Acids Test (OAT) provides a comprehensive metabolic analysis of a patient's overall health, including intestinal yeast and bacteria, vitamin and mineral levels, oxidative stress, neurotransmitter levels, and oxalates.
The Mold & Mycotoxin Building Profile is a dust swab collection that tests for the presence of 15 toxigenic molds and 16 mycotoxins in your home, office, or other suspected living areas.
The serum-based Food Allergy and Sensitivity Test (FAST) is a comprehensive panel measuring 4 distinct immune reactions (IgE, IgG, IgG4, and complement C3b/d) to 88 common food antigens.

Patricia Andrich OTR/L, COVT, FNAP
Patti Andrich, MA, OTR/L, COVT, CINPP, FNAP, is an occupational therapist, Certified Optometric Vision Therapist, and co-founder and CEO of The Vision Development Team. Her career has been dedicated to understanding how vision, the brain, sensory systems, movement, development, and overall health work together to influence how a person functions in everyday life.
Patti’s approach to care is rooted in the belief that vision is much more than eyesight. How we see and process the world is closely connected to neurological development, movement, sensory processing, nutrition, and whole-body health. Rather than looking at one symptom or system in isolation, she works to connect the pieces and better understand the factors that may be influencing each individual’s function and well-being.
Her extensive training includes occupational therapy, optometric vision therapy, primitive and postural reflex development and integration, auditory processing, sensory-motor development, and functional health. She is also the creator of Sensory-Focused Foundations®, an approach designed to help clinicians understand the relationships among early development, reflexes, sensory systems, vision, and functional performance.
At The Vision Development Team, Patti works alongside a multidisciplinary team using a comprehensive approach that may incorporate neuro-optometric care, vision therapy, developmental and sensory assessment, functional laboratory testing, nutritional support, and other individualized interventions.
Her philosophy is simple: **look deeper, connect the systems, and understand the whole person.** By identifying connections between vision, brain, body, and health, Patti strives to help each person build a stronger foundation for learning, movement, performance, and everyday life.
