C-Reactive Protein, High Sensitivity (CRP, HS) is a blood test that measures low levels of CRP, a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. The high-sensitivity version of the test is used to assess the risk of cardiovascular disease by detecting chronic, low-grade inflammation that may contribute to heart disease.
