Herpes Simplex Virus Types I & II (HSV-1 & HSV-2) IgG Antibodies detect past or ongoing infections with both HSV-1 (commonly oral herpes) and HSV-2 (commonly genital herpes). Measuring IgG antibodies helps determine exposure, immune status, and risk of viral transmission.
