Alzheimer's LINX
Cyrex
Sample type: Serum
Requires fasting: No
Phlebotomy is required for this test
Details
This test measures antibodies against 7 groups of proteins and peptides associated with the development of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders: brain proteins; growth factors; enteric nerve, enzymes, and neurological peptides; pathogens; chemicals; foods cross-reactive to amyloid-beta; and blood-brain barrier and neurofilaments. It helps identify patients at a greater risk of developing Alzheimer's disease or other neurological disorders, identify the early stage of neurodegenerative processes, and monitor the effectiveness of lifestyle modifications for Alzheimer's disease.
