Details
This is a single-marker test measuring homocysteine. Homocysteine can be used to identify abnormal levels of B12 and folate before symptoms are present.

Before You Start
- You will not receive a kit for your blood draw.
12 Hours Before Collection
- Fasting for 12 hours before your blood draw is required.
- Fasting before a blood draw means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
- Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Day of Collection
- Your sample must be collected by a phlebotomist at a Labcorp Patient Service Center (PSC).
State restrictions:
Patient can't order this test if they are located in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, New Jersey, New York, or Rhode Island
