Before You Start
- Read the provided test collection instructions.
- Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist, Monday - Thursday only.
- Diagnostic Solutions recommends shipping your samples on dry ice to ensure they remain frozen and stable. Please consult with your blood draw location to determine if they supply dry ice or if you need to purchase your own. You can find dry ice at many grocery and convenience stores.
Night Before Collection
- Fast for at least 8 hours.
- Fasting means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
- Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
- Freeze the provided ice packs for at least 2 hours.
Day of Collection
- Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.
- Test kit
- Frozen ice packs
- Completed test requisition form
- Please make sure the phlebotomist CLEARLY labels your sample. Unlabeled samples will not be analyzed by the lab.
