Before You Start
- Please read the test collection instructions carefully.
- Testing is not recommended during infection, tissue injury, or acute illness.
- Do not take N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) before your test, as it interferes with lipid assays and may result in falsely low levels.
- DO NOT discontinue any prescription medications without first consulting your healthcare provider.
Day Before Collection
- Avoid exercise for at least 24 hours before collection.
Night Before Blood Draw
- Fast overnight for at least 12 hours before your blood draw..
- Fasting means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
- Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
- Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours before your blood draw.
