Before You Start
- Please read the test collection instructions carefully.
- You will collect three saliva samples on one day.
- If you are a male or a menopausal female, you may collect on any day.
- If you are a premenopausal female, collect your sample between day 19 and day 25 of your menstrual cycle. (Day 1 is the first day of your period.)
- You do not need to discontinue any medications unless directed by your healthcare provider.
Day of Collection
- If you are taking hormone medications, wait to take your medication until after you have collected your first sample.
- Avoid the following activities for 1 hour before collecting your saliva samples:
- Eating
- Brushing your teeth
- Flossing your teeth
- Using mouthwash
- Using lip balm
- Chewing gum
- Using tobacco products
Urine Add-On
- 24 Hours Before Collection
- Drink no more than 48 oz of fluid.
- Day of Collection
- You will collect your first urination of the day.
- If you wake to urinate during the night, within 6 hours of when you typically wake for the day, collect your urine in the cup, refrigerate, and then combine with your first morning urine.
Swab Add-On
- If you are collecting a swab add-on, collect immediately upon waking.
Serum Add-Ons
- Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.
- You must fast for 12 hours before your blood draw.
- Fasting before a blood draw means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
- Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
- Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours before your blood draw.
