Before You Start
  • Please read the test collection instructions carefully.
  • You will collect samples on three separate days. Collecting stool three days in a row is preferred, but not required.
  • DO NOT collect samples while experiencing active bleeding from hemorrhoids or menstruation.
  • Discuss any medications with your healthcare provider, as they may impact your results.
  • Wait at least 4 weeks after a colonoscopy or barium enema before beginning the test.
  • If you are taking antibiotics, antiparasitics, antifungals, or probiotic supplements (such as acidophilus), wait a minimum of 14 days after your last dose before beginning the test.

14 Days Before Collection
  • If you are collecting the H. pylori add-on, stop PPIs (proton pump inhibitors), antibiotics, and bismuth products.

2 Days Before Collection
  • Unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider, discontinue the following: 
    • Aspirin and other NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen)
    • Rectal suppositories and enemas
    • Activated charcoal
    • Bismuth
    • Betaine HCl
    • Digestive enzymes
    • Antacids
    • Laxatives
    • Mineral oil
    • Castor oil
    • Bentonite clay

State restrictions:

Patient can't order this test if they are located in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, New Jersey, New York, or Rhode Island
