Before You Start
  • Please read the provided test collection instructions carefully.
  • Collect your urine sample before your blood draw.
  • Blood sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

24 Hours Before Collection
  • Eat your usual diet, but avoid over-eating any single food or following an extreme or restrictive diet.
  • Consume no more than six 8-ounce glasses of fluid during this time.

Night Before Collection
  • Fast overnight before collection. 
    • Fasting means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
    • Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
  • Freeze the freezer brick for at least 8 hours before your appointment.

Day of Collection
  • Collect your urine sample immediately upon waking.
  • Take your urine sample with you to your blood draw. Your samples should ship together.
