Before You Start
- Please read the provided test collection instructions carefully.
- Collect your urine sample before your blood draw.
- Blood sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.
24 Hours Before Collection
- Eat your usual diet, but avoid over-eating any single food or following an extreme or restrictive diet.
- Consume no more than six 8-ounce glasses of fluid during this time.
Night Before Collection
- Fast overnight before collection.
- Fasting means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
- Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
- Freeze the freezer brick for at least 8 hours before your appointment.
Day of Collection
- Collect your urine sample immediately upon waking.
- Take your urine sample with you to your blood draw. Your samples should ship together.
