The Rhythm™ test provides a comprehensive assessment of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone spanning a full 28 days. Hormone imbalances revealed in this hormone test profile can help illuminate the root causes of disorders such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), infertility, and menstrual irregularities. It is designed for premenopausal and perimenopausal women not currently supplementing with hormones.

Before You Start
- Please read the test collection instructions carefully.
- Your collection schedule is based on the first day of your menstrual cycle (the first day of menstrual blood flow). If you are not currently menstruating, you may begin on any day.
- Do not discontinue any supplements or medications without consulting your healthcare provider.
- The following medications may influence test results. Inform your provider if you’ve taken any of the following in the past 12 months:
- Transdermal (cream) hormones
- Sublingual hormones
- The following medications may influence test results. Inform your provider if you’ve taken any of the following in the past 3 months:
- Melatonin (over 5 mg)
- Ketoconazole
- Cimetidine (Tagamet)
- Anastrozole (Arimidex)
- Letrozole (Femara)
- Exemestane (Aromasin)
- Digoxin
- Antiepileptics
- Chrysin
- Apigenin
- Tribulus terrestris
- If you have difficulty producing enough saliva:
- Press the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth and against your teeth.
- Yawning can also help stimulate saliva production.
1 Hour Before Each Collection
- Avoid the following activities:
- Eating
- Brushing or flossing your teeth
- Using mouthwash
- Applying lip balm
- Chewing gum
- Using tobacco products
- You may drink ONLY water during this time.
Collection Schedule
- Day 1: The first day of your menstrual cycle. Do not collect on this day.
- Day 2: No collection.
- Days 3, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 23, and 28: Collect your saliva sample between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
- Each sample should be collected within 5 minutes of the scheduled time window.
