Details
Women’s Health+ is an at-home assessment that measures salivary sex hormones, diurnal cortisol rhythm, urinary estrogen metabolites, and organic acids to give a comprehensive snapshot of hormone balance, nutrient status, and metabolic function in women. It synthesizes these biomarkers into actionable clinical insights with optional genetic analysis to support personalized care and treatment planning.

Genova Diagnostics’ Women’s Health+ is an at-home integrative assessment designed to give a broad, clinician-ready picture of a woman’s hormonal, metabolic, and nutritional status. The test combines salivary measurements of key sex hormones (like estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA) and a full diurnal cortisol rhythm with urinary analyses of estrogen metabolites and organic acids that reflect vitamin/cofactor status and metabolic pathways. Optional genetic single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis (e.g., COMT, MTHFR, CYP1A1, CYP1B1, and ApoE) can further personalize interpretation and guide detoxification and methylation support strategies.
The resulting report synthesizes these multiple data streams into functional imbalance scores and actionable clinical priorities so practitioners can move from complex symptom clusters—such as fatigue, mood irregularities, menstrual cycle changes, or stress dysregulation—to targeted, individualized care plans with fewer follow-up tests. By integrating hormone production, metabolism, nutrient needs, and genetic context in one profile, Women’s Health+ aims to streamline root-cause investigation and support evidence-informed interventions for women at various life stages.

Before You Start
- Please read the test collection instructions carefully.
- DO NOT discontinue any medications without first consulting your healthcare provider.
- DO NOT collect if there is blood in your urine, including menstrual or other blood.
- Premenopausal women: If the goal is to evaluate ovulatory function, collect specimens between days 19–25 of your menstrual cycle.
- Perimenopausal/menopausal women and males: Collect on any day.
Day Before Collection
- Consume no more than six 8-ounce glasses of fluid in the 24 hours before collection.
Day of Collection
- DO NOT take any hormone medications until you have collected your morning samples.
- Avoid the following activities 1 hour before each saliva collection:
- Eating
- Brushing or flossing your teeth
- Using mouthwash
- Chewing gum
- Using tobacco products
- Collect your first morning urination, immediately upon waking.
- You will collect FOUR saliva samples throughout the day.
- If you have the genomic SNP add-on, collect your swab samples after the first saliva sample.
