This test evaluates the concentration of yeast in the gut. If yeast overgrowth is detected, a sensitivity panel may be performed to determine effective prescriptive and natural agents.

Before You Start
- Please read the test collection instructions carefully.
- Do not collect samples while experiencing active bleeding from hemorrhoids or menstruation.
- Wait at least 4 weeks after a colonoscopy or barium enema before beginning the test.
- If you are taking antibiotics, antiparasitics, antifungals, or probiotic supplements (such as acidophilus), wait a minimum of 14 days after your last dose before beginning the test.
2 Days Before Collection
- Unless directed otherwise by your physician, discontinue the following:
- Rectal suppositories
- Enemas
- Activated charcoal
- Bismuth
- Mineral oil
- Castor oil
- Bentonite clay
