- If you would like to know the effects of antibiotics or antivirals on your microbiome, you can collect your sample as soon as 2 weeks after completing treatment.
- If you do not want to assess these effects, wait 1 month after completing treatment before collecting your sample.
- DO NOT discontinue any prescription medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
- Plan to ship your kit on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday only to avoid weekend delays that could thaw the frozen Biomarker sample.
After Collection
- Freeze the Biomarker Stool Collection Tube for at least 24 hours.
- Store the Microbiome Collection Tube at room temperature. Do not refrigerate or freeze the Microbiome Collection Tube.
- Ship your kit within 1 hour of removing the Biomarker Stool Collection Tube from the freezer.
