Autoimmune Cerebellar Ataxia Panel
Quest Diagnostics
Sample type: Serum
Requires fasting: No
Phlebotomy required
Details
Autoimmune Cerebellar Ataxia Panel - Cerebellar ataxia may occur as a result of autoantibodies to cerebellar targets. These may include antibodies to the Purkinje cell antigen Yo, the voltage gated calcium channel (VGCC) or tissue transglutaminase (tTG). Glutin ataxia is associated with widespread tissue transglutaminase (tTG) IgA deposition around vessels in the cerebellum, pons, and medulla.
Reflex testing uses predefined clinical logic to automatically order one or more follow-up tests based on the initial test results. Reflex tests are performed automatically without the intervention of the ordering practitioner. They are conducted using the same sample your Patient already provided. If reflex tests are required, there will be additional charges.
Initial test
- Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) Antibody (IgA)
- Immunoglobulin A (IgA)
- Voltage-Gated Calcium Channel (VGCC) Antibody
- YO Ab Screen, IFA, Serum
Possible reflex biomarkers
- Yo Ab, Western Blot, Serum
- Yo Ab, Titer, Serum
- Endomysial IgA Antibody
- Endomysial IgA, Serum/Plasma, Immunofluorescence [Titer]
- Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) Antibody (IgG)
Estimated days for results: Results should be available within 2 - 5 business days after samples are received at the lab.
