Details
This test measures the level of Estrone, a hormone primarily produced from the metabolism of androstenedione in peripheral tissues, especially in adipose tissues. People with obesity may have higher Estrone levels due to increased conversion from androstenedione. Additionally, comparing the levels of Estrone to Estradiol can help in assessing menopause in women.
