Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) - This test measures the level of GGT enzyme in the blood. GGT is primarily found in the liver and is a sensitive marker for liver diseases and bile duct damage and can aid in the diagnosis and treatment of alcoholic cirrhosis and liver tumors. This test is often used in conjunction with other liver function tests to differentiate between liver and bone disease.
