Details
Protein, Total and Albumin - This test measures the main proteins in the blood, albumin and globulin, to help assess overall health. Albumin makes up over half of the serum proteins. The ratio of albumin to globulin (A/G ratio) is used to check for various health conditions, though it's not disease-specific. A normal A/G ratio ranges from 0.8-2.0. Changes in this ratio can indicate different health issues, such as chronic inflammation, liver or kidney problems, or certain cancers.
