Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) Antibodies (IgG, IgA) - This test is crucial for diagnosing conditions related to gluten sensitivity, such as Celiac Sprue Disease and dermatitis herpetiformis, a skin condition. It checks for specific antibodies (IgA and IgG) in your blood. The IgA test is standard for diagnosing these conditions, but if you're IgA-deficient, the IgG test can be used instead. The IgG test can also help identify gluten-sensitive enteropathies beyond what the IgA test can find.
