The Fungal Count Dx Analysis identifies molds that produce mycotoxins that affect human health. It is done by using a sample of dust from a home or other building type. The sample is analyzed using mold-specific quantitative polymerase chain reaction (MSQPCR).

Before You Start
- Please read the provided test collection instructions carefully.
- Ensure the Chain of Custody form is filled out completely.
Day of Collection
- Preferred samples: any VISIBLE mold or areas where there is water damage (present or past), dust from air conditioner filter, dust from air conditioner or heater vents/grates.
- Amount:
- Dust: the equivalent of a thimble full or small cotton ball (approximately 1-3 grams).
- Other: a 3x3 inch piece (carpet, sheetrock, etc.)
