Before You Start
Day of Collection
- Please read the provided test collection instructions.
- You DO NOT need to stop current hormone medications before collection unless advised by your healthcare provider. DO NOT discontinue any prescription medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
- For optimal collection timing while using hormones, collect according to the schedule below:
- Creams, gels, or capsules: 12–24 hours after last dose
- Troche or sublingual hormones: 36 hours after last dose
- Patches: 24–48 hours after applying patch
- Injections or pellets: midpoint between treatment
Day of Collection
- You will collect six samples throughout the day.
- Avoid the following substances:
- Caffeine
- Alcohol
- Tea
- Nicotine (including smoking)
- 2 Hours Before Each Collection
- DO NOT eat.
- DO NOT brush or floss your teeth.
- DO NOT use mouthwash.
- You may drink water during this time.
- Before each collection, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water to avoid contamination.
