Before You Start
  • Please read the provided test collection instructions carefully.
  • DO NOT collect your sample while you are menstruating.
  • DO NOT take this test if you have a blood clotting disorder or are taking blood-thinning medications.
  • If you take any of the following medications, please consult your healthcare provider before completing this test, as they may alter test results. 
    • Immunosuppressive drugs
    • Immune-modulating drugs
    • Topical cortisone suspensions and creams
  • Blood sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist. Collect your urine sample before your blood draw.

4 Days Before Sample Collection
  • Stop taking all supplements, including protein powders.

24 Hours Before Sample Collection
  • Avoid eating and drinking products containing aspartame or MSG.
  • Avoid overconsuming any particular food.

Night Before Sample Collection
  • Fast for 10 hours before sample collection. 
    • Fasting means you don't eat or drink anything except water.
    • Your doctor should provide any special instructions related to fasting for your test. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
  • Limit fluid intake

Day of Collection
  • Collect your urine sample immediately upon waking.
  • Take your urine sample with you to your blood draw.
