This panel provides a foundational assessment of the ovaries and testicles, thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal influences on fertility. It looks at common factors that cause irregular cycles, ovulatory dysfunction, low testosterone, and unexplained infertility. Results should be interpreted in the context of menstrual cycle timing, age, symptoms, and clinical history.
AMH, LH and FSH evaluate the ovarian reserve, while LH and FSH assess communication between the pituitary gland and gonads that is necessary for optimal reproductive health. TSH assesses thyroid function, which plays a critical role in menstrual cycle regulation and pregnancy outcomes. Cortisol and DHEAs assess adrenal function and stress physiology, both of which can influence ovulation, hormone balance, and reproductive success. Prolactin is included as a common cause of hormone irregularities and infertility.
