- DO NOT collect while menstruating.
3 Days Before Collection
- DO NOT take biotin/vitamin B7.
1 Day Before Collection
- Avoid the following foods.
- Bananas
- Pineapples
- Avocados
- Nuts
- Nut butter
- Alcohol
- Nicotine
- Protein powder
- Protein shakes
Day of Collection
- DO NOT drink more than 8 oz of water an hour before each urine collection.
- Avoid the following activities on the day of sample collection until you have collected sample 2.
- Eating
- Drinking anything but water
- Taking medications
- Taking supplements
- Taking vitamins
