Day of Collection
- Read the provided test collection instructions carefully.
- Watch the test collection video.
- If you are a man, child, or non-menstruating woman, you can collect your sample at any time.
- If you are a menstruating woman,
- Regular cycles: Collect on Day 19, 20, or 21 of your cycle (where Day 1 is the first day of your period).
- Irregular cycles: Collect 5 days before your period starts.
- Unpredictable cycles: Collect any non-bleeding day.
- Talk to your healthcare provider before collection if you are taking troche or sublingual hormones or steriods.
- Collect your sample halfway between doses of these medications.

- Vaginal rings

3 Days Before Collection
- DO NOT use anti-aging/anti-wrinkle face creams.
- DO NOT take biotin/vitamin B7.
- DO NOT take 7-keto DHEA.
2 Days Before Collection
- Stop applying topical hormones with your bare hands. Use latex gloves, an applicator, or a hormone-loaded syringe.
- Stop applying topical hormones on your face, lips, and neck.
1 Day Before Collection
- Avoid the following foods.
- Bananas
- Pineapples
- Avocados
- Nuts
- Nut butter
- Alcohol
- Nicotine
- Protein powder
- Protein shakes
- If you use topical hormones, change your sheets, pillowcases, and hand towels the night before collection.
- DO NOT touch any surfaces that may be contaminated with topical hormones.
- Take any night oral or topical hormones at least 12 hours Before Collection.
Day of Collection
- DO NOT drink more than 8 oz of water an hour before each urine collection.
- Avoid the following activities on the day of sample collection until you have collected sample 2.
- Eating
- Drinking anything but water
- Taking medications
- Taking supplements
- Taking vitamins
- Avoid the following activities for at least 2 hours before each saliva collection.
- Eating
- Drinking anything but water
- Brushing your teeth
- Collect your first saliva sample within 30 minutes of waking.
State restrictions:
Patient can't order this test if they are located in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, New Jersey, New York, or Rhode Island
