2 more items in Fertility/Prenatal VitaminOptimize fertility, a healthy egg, healthy sperm, a healthy pregnancy and ultimately a healthy baby with sound nutrition and a high quality multivitamin. For more on Dad's preparation prior to conception - https://www.13thmoonfmw.com/articles/the-male-factor?rq=male * Additional magnesium is appropriate for some, especially if you have increased risk of blood pressure issues in pregnancy. Many will also want to add an Omega 3 product for DHA and EPA. ** Seeking Health Multivitamin One is an excellent multi for Dad to be on in months prior to conception, paired with magnesium. *** Feel free to make a one time visit with Carol to review preconception prep for both of you. Seeking Health Optimal Prenatal is the prenatal vitamin I most often recommend, because of it's quality, bio-availability and comprehensive nature. It can be used in a variety of ways: 1) Excellent health with a very clean diet - take 1/2-3/4 dose during preconception when you are "trying to get pregnant", full dose as soon as you have a positive pregnancy test and all through pregnancy, then once baby is born return to 1/2-3/4 dose through breastfeeding. 2) Known nutrition deficits - full dose prenatal vitamin to be started at least several months before "trying" to get pregnant, through pregnancy and your entire breastfeeding experience. 3) As a general multivitamin - Seeking Health Optimal Prenatal at 1/2 or 3/4 dose might be used when a comprehensive, bio-available, clean product at a very reasonable price is desired, or at full dose for 1-2 bottles in someone with recognized nutrition concerns in order to catch them up. + Please note these prenatal vitamins purposefully do not contain iron. Better to add high-iron foods or separate iron supplement if needed.

Choose the Vitamin D supplement that is right for you. Magnesium is used to convert Vitamin D to it's final usable form, so you want to be sure you are getting plenty of magnesium when taking supplemental Vitamin D. Also, know that too high a Vitamin D level is not desirable. Lab testing is recommended if supplementing more than around 2000iu/day.
