"If you have trouble getting to sleep, start with 1 cap 2 hours prior to bedtime. Increase by 1 cap each night until you are able to get to sleep and stay asleep. If you have trouble staying asleep, take 1 cap right at bedtime. Increase by 1 cap each night until you are sleeping through the night. If you have trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep, take 1 tab 2 hours before bed and 1 cap right at bedtime. Titrate both doses up to effect. There is no true max and this is not addictive and will not make you groggy the next day. Average dose is 3-4 caps/night."

"Start with 1 cap at night for 2 nights. Then increase to 2 caps each night for 2 nights. Then increase to 3 caps each night for 2 nights, and so on. Until you develop loose stools. This is called "titrating to bowel tolerance". Once you develop loose stools, decrease by one cap each night and this is your dose. Example: If 4 tabs causes loose stools, then 3 caps is your dose."
