Acute Viral Protocol

6 more items in Acute Viral ProtocolHello! This is our Acute Viral Protocol for cold and flu season—a short-term supplement plan designed to support your body while you recover, alongside rest and plenty of fluids. It includes vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and other supportive nutrients. Most supplements are intended for approximately 7–14 days, after which you can return to your regular multivitamin routine. Please follow the dosing instructions in our Acute Viral Protocol handout , as they may differ from the directions listed in Fullscript. If you have kidney or liver disease, other health conditions, or take prescription medications, consult your primary care provider before starting this protocol. We’re glad you’re here and hope you feel better soon! Yours in Wellness, Dr. Philip Zinni III, DO, HMD, FAOASM, NRCME | Co-Founder | Chief Medical Officer Denise A. It is not for pregnancy, and it is not for anyone trying to conceive. Do not start it if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are trying to get pregnant. Before you start, make sure you are not allergic to any of these supplements, and that you have not had a bad reaction or a drug interaction with any of them. This acute protocol is not meant to be continued longer than 14 days. Stop the extra supplements when you feel better, even if that is sooner. The vitamin A doses and the higher vitamin D doses stop after day 3. After that, use only the multivitamin, and vitamin D at 5,000 IU if you were asked to stay on it. Recheck your vitamin D level in 1 month. Do not restart this protocol for a new illness without checking with your primary care provider. This is not meant to cure, treat, or prevent any disease, and it does not replace care from your primary care provider. Talk with your primary care provider before you start, especially if you take a blood thinner, thyroid medicine, chemotherapy, or a transplant medicine, or if you have kidney disease, kidney stones, or liver disease.
