Probiotic Recommendation

Dear Patients and Families, I am always looking for thoughtful ways to support your health and well-being. Over the years I have consistently emphasized the importance of eating a Mediterranean-style diet rich in prebiotic and probiotic foods to help support a healthy and diverse microbiome, an important part of digestive health and overall wellness. Many of you over the years have asked me which probiotic supplement I recommend. Until now, I have been hesitant to recommend a specific product due to the variability in probiotic formulations, quality, effectiveness, and available evidence. I recently became familiar with Complete Commensal Probiotic, and after learning more about the product and its approach to supporting microbial health in the gut, I feel comfortable recommending it as an option for patients and families interested in adding a probiotic to their wellness routine. This supplement is by no means meant to replace a balanced and nutritious diet, regular movement, adequate sleep, stress management, good hydration and appropriate medical care. As I come accross products or resources I believe may be beneficial to your health and well-being, I will occasionally share them with you when I feel they are worth your consideration. Warmly, Dr. Douros
