Endometriosis Nutritional Supplements

Welcome! Now you have a good understanding why this is the recommended protocol for your preconception care, future pregnancy, and breastfeeding days! We've selected the brand Needed, created by two naturopathic doctors in southern California. They get how to create a good prenatal. It has many ingredients all in one container, including choline, vitamin D, and K2. This is why there are only 4 supplements total, because the pre-natal itself is so comprehensive. We included the Omega-3, Probiotic, and Calcium / magnesium. With these 4 supplements, it's easy to implement and is relatively affordable. During pregnancy, you may find you can't tolerate any pills. Needed has a gentle prenatal powder version you can switch to. This protocol does not have iron. It is recommended to screen for iron deficiency, and get an individualized plan for supplementing with iron. To learn more, click here . Keep in mind it's OK if you accidentally miss some doses or days. Just jump back into the rhythm. This supplement organizer can really help keep you on track!
Elevated Lipids Protocol

For the elevated lipids (total cholesterol, LDL): The goal is to get your LDL below 125. Let's give this current treatment plan 3 months and recheck lipids via Boston Heart, which can give us more detail on size/density of lipids. This will help me understand how aggressive we need to be. Mediterranean Diet Recommendations: Plants: 5-7 servings of veggies/fruits daily. Raw, steamed, roasted, or steamed. Frequent inclusion of beans, lentils, nuts, seeds to provide fiber/healthy fats/protein. Whole grains over refined. Ie. quinoa, 100% whole wheat, brown rice, steel cut oats. Goal of plant diversity to ~ 30 varieties a week (includes whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds) Incorporate liver-cleansing foods when possible: beets, carrots, artichokes, lemons, parsnips, dandelion greens, watercress, burdock root, black radish, horseradish, mustard greens. Protein: 2-4x a week of fish consumption for omega-3 fats - salmon, sardines, mackerel, herring, etc. Poultry as a protein source over red meat. Limit red meat to 1x weekly or less. Fats: Fatty fish, olive oil, avocados/avocado oil, nuts/nut butters (without added sugar), seeds, hummus. Limit fried foods (ie. chips, fries, fast foods etc.). Limit baked goods with refined flours, added sugar, and high in fat (butter, oils). Other: Avoid added sugars (cane sugar, corn syrup, etc) and zero-calorie sweeteners. OK to sweeten with stevia, monk fruit, dates, conservative amounts of honey, real maple syrup, and coconut sugar. Consume alcohol in moderation - 1 drink per day or less for women, 2 drinks or less per day for men. Supplement Recommendations: Soluble Fiber ~ 15 grams / day in divided doses Plant sterols ~ 3000mg / day in divided doses Niacin ~ 1500 mg / day in divided doses
Immune Boost Protocol

4 more items in Immune Boost ProtocolProtocol to boost the immune system during the winter months It's important to start with the basics: Sleep: Less sleep equals less immune function. Learn more here: https://www.drhaylee.com/blog-1/how-to-sleep-better-at-night Hydration: For many reasons hydration helps immunity and overall health. It especially helps the preventive defenses in the respiratory system where most COVID-19 enters. Movement: Muscle activity = healthy metabolism / Fat activity = less healthy metabolism. Thick or thin, just do something through the day to keep your muscles in motion. Mind: You are what you think. Really. The epigenetics that control your world (and your immune system) are highly influenced by messages. Those influences are not only what you tell yourself but also what messages you are listening to, who you stay around and other external factors. You: There are MANY other ‘lifestyle’ things to consider but generally anything that brings you joy and empowerment is important to your immunity. Diet: Clean whole-foods eating is critical to overall nutrient intake and health. Check out the dirty dozen https://www.ewg.org/foodnews/dirty-dozen.php to find out which foods to buy organic. Supplementation: Vitamin C - 1000mg / meal, increase to bowel tolerance (reduce if you get loose stools). Humans do not make their own Vitamin C and it is water soluble (unlike Vitamin A) so tolerance can be quite high during infections (>10,000mg / day). Vitamin A - 20,000 IU / day x 1 month, then 10,000 IU / day for maintenance. *DO NOT USE IF TRYING TO CONCIEVE OR PREGNANT Vitamin D - best to check your levels for deficiency. If sufficient levels (>30 ng/dL), 4000 IU / day during the winter months. B Complex - 1-2 capsules a day taken half way through a meal and drink water with it so you do not have nausea. Trace Minerals (with zinc) - 1 capsule a day taken half way through a meal and drink water with it so you do not have nausea. NAC - 500mg capsule each meal during the winter months. An amino acid that supports glutathione formation which is critical and helps keep the protective mucus in the respiratory tract healthy. Quercetin - 500mg capsule two time a day with a meal. Quercetin is an infamous “zinc ionophore” which theoretically helps zinc slow viral replication.
