Here are a few supplements & personal care products I recommend this month. As always, please check with your physician or healthcare provider before taking any supplements, as they can interfere with medications and may have side effects. Spring is prime allergy season. Quercetin may help relieve the symptoms of pollen allergies, including itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, and sleep issues ( link to research ). It also may help with histamine intolerance. Not sure if your symptoms are allergies, a cold, or the flu? Check out the attached handout. Struggling with sleep due to daylight savings time? A couple of supplements I personally use to get myself over the hump are extended-release melatonin and Cortisol Manager. Be sure to check out the attached sleep hygeine handout for more sleep tips! More sunlight means it's important to apply sunscreen & I love the convenience of stick sunscreen, especially on my face. This MyChelle sunscreen is mineral based and lightly tinted, so it doesn't leave a white residue. Just for fun-Paleo Protein from Designs for Health is one of my new favorites. It's made from beef protein, so not for anyone on a vegetarian or vegan diet. That being said, it tasted a lot better than I though it would, so I'm keeping it in my rotation. If you don't like vanilla, there is a chocolate version as well as an unflavored version.
