NAC Favs

NAC can help with: detoxification, immune support, fertility support, and respiratory support. NAC is a precursor to Glutathione. Many of the beneficial actions of NAC are related to its role in supporting normal production of glutathione, one of the body’s most important antioxidants. Typically the body’s ability to produce glutathione will begin to decline with age. As well as environmental toxins and certain pharmaceuticals can deplete our bodies glutathione stores rapidly making it harder for our bodies to detox. One of my favorite functions of NAC that we use it for the most in our household is it's ability to help thin/breakdown mucus helping it drain easier. So we use it quite a bit for sinus issues, ear infections (fluid stuck behind the ear), and other respiratory infections that have a lot of mucus. Thinning the mucus can be so helpful as it allows it to be expelled or drained easier. As always, check with your favorite healthcare provider if you are wondering if it might be a helpful tool for you or your kiddos.

NAC can help thin secretions which may help thin the secretions in the eustachian tube to help it drain better. Certain probiotic strains can help prevent ear infections. Garlic Mullein Ear drops can be really helpful at easing pain/discomfort and is antimicrobial. Ortho Molecular has a product for both kids and adults called "D-hist" that is great! It won't let me add it to this plan but you can search for it under "catalog." I also Like Dr. Green Moms "Ear Relief and Resolve" on her website (save with code: holisticheidi10) Super Teeth has a great probiotic + ENT mints that are targeted for ear, nose and throat support (save with code: holisticheidi)
