Here you'll find the 3 basic supplements Dr McCarty recommends for men during the preconception time frame. Sperm take 3 months to mature, so ideally you'll start these at least 3 months before you start trying for pregnancy. Don't have that much time? Any amount of time is better than none! Recommendations: Multivitamin with antioxidants Omega 3 fats from fish oil Vitamin D3 You can take these all together in the morning with food. Looking for more information? Thank you for trusting me with your preconception health care plan! I'm so honored to be a part of this journey with you. The purpose of the preconception time period is to not only prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy, but also to have a healthy baby. Ideally you'll give yourself at least 3 months of prep time before trying for pregnancy. Don't have that much time? That's ok, any amount of time is better than none, even if you are starting IN pregnancy. Recommendations : Prenatal--choose one of the options listed Vitamin D3 Omega 3 fats from fish oil Probiotics You can take all of these together in the morning with food. It may feel easier to break up the prenatal and take 1 dose with each meal. Want more information about Preconception Health?
