This protocol is recommended for those wanting to use Boron and its complimentary nutrients to enhance brain function, improve testosterone and estrogen, raise Vitamin D levels, repair bone health, improve adrenal function, lower osteoarthritis symptoms, and reduce inflammation. For testosterone and estrogen improvement or osteoarthritis symptoms, take 6mg Boron daily. For all others, take 3mg Boron daily.

Take iodine co-factors (Magnesium, Vitamin C, Lithium, Selenium, B2, B3) for 4-6 weeks prior to starting iodine, continue taking into iodine therapy. 2 weeks prior to beginning iodine therapy, begin salt loading daily to aid in halide flushing and detox. Halide Salt Flush Chloride in sea salt competes with halides and flushes them off iodine receptors In the morning mix 1/2 tsp of sea salt with 1/2 cup of warm filtered water and drink. Chase it down with a cup of regular filtered water. Put timer on for 30 minutes Repeat 2-3 times as tolerated by bowels. If GI upset occurs, do not do another round until the next day. Continue daily for 2 weeks. Continue 1 x per week or as needed throughout iodine protocol. Begin Iodine Start with 2% Lugol's Iodine Add 1 drop of 2% Lugol's iodine to 1mL of water. On day 1, take 2 drop of this dilution. On day 2, take 2 drops of this same dilution, increasing by one drop of this dilution each day until you reach 20 drops of dilution. If at any time symptoms of rapid heart rate, insomnia, jitters, or heart palpitations occur, decrease by a drop or two of dilution and stay there for several days before increasing again. Once reaching 20 drops of dilution, switch to one drop of straight 2% Lugol's iodine. Increase by one drop every week or two based on how you feel. Once you reach 2-4 drops, stop and have thyroid levels checked. If you are taking thyroid medication, you may need to speak to your prescribing physician about changing your dose if necessary.
