Here are the top 3 supplements I recommend- 1. Magnesium- All of us have stress- whether it be from work, family, life, even exercise is a stress on the body (the good kind!). Stress depletes magnesium! A good magnesium supplement helps with sleep, muscle cramps, anxiety, and constipation. 2. Multivitamin- It is almost impossible to get every essential vitamin and mineral that we need through our diets alone, mostly because that would cost a fortune to get that variety of different fruits and veggies you need every single day and get 9 servings of fruits and vegetables every single day (the current USDA recommended daily amount!). If I eat zucchini as my veggie that week, I might be getting B vitamins but not vitamin A. The multivitamin helps to fill in the gaps of what I'm missing every day. 3. Omega 3's (Fish Oil)- You can get the recommended amount of Omega 3’s through your diet IF you are eating fatty fish 2-4 times a week. Most people are not. These are an anti-inflammatory, which has been shown in the studies to-reduce triglycerides and blood pressure, enhance fat burning and muscle building, improve mood, memory, and cognitive performance, decrease inflammation/bloating, aid in fat loss, reduce exercise-induced muscle soreness, relieve symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis + other joint pains.
