Cover daily micronutrient gaps

What this is for: broad daily micronutrient coverage, particularly if your diet is limited or restricted, including while you are eating less on a GLP-1 weight-loss medication. How to take it: both capsules together, with food. Do not double up. This already contains selenium 200 mcg , which is the full daily ceiling on its own, plus vitamin D 2,000 IU , iodine and boron. If you are also taking a standalone selenium, a vitamin D product, or a fertility formula, tell us so we can add up the totals. Selenium above 400 mcg a day over time is harmful. Check your levels: whatever we started you on this for, that is the number to recheck at 3 months. Blood thinners: this contains vitamin K. If you take warfarin, tell us.
Support GLP-1 and glucose with Akkermansia

What this is for: blood sugar and GLP-1 support, alongside diet, exercise or glucose medication, or support while you are on a GLP-1 weight-loss medication. Check your levels: recheck A1c and fasting glucose at about 3 months. This does not replace your medication. It works alongside it. Do not change any prescription dose because you started this. Tell us if your blood sugars start running lower than usual, since medication doses sometimes need adjusting. Do not double up. Take this or the general gut flora probiotic, not both, unless we have said otherwise.
Support potassium intake

Read this first. This is dietary potassium support only. It does not treat a low blood potassium. A genuinely low potassium on a blood test needs prescription potassium and an investigation into why, which starts with your magnesium level, because potassium cannot be corrected while magnesium is low. Where this also helps is in preventing kidney stones. Do not take this without speaking to us if you take an ACE inhibitor (lisinopril, ramipril), an ARB (losartan, valsartan), spironolactone, amiloride or triamterene, or if you have any kidney disease. In those situations potassium can build up to a dangerous level. For perspective: your daily potassium need is 2,600 to 3,400 mg and a banana is about 420 mg. One capsule here is 200 mg. Food is the better route. Check your levels: if we are watching your potassium, that blood test is what matters, not how you feel.
Reduce kidney stone risk

What this is for. Reducing the risk of recurrent calcium oxalate kidney stones, by raising urinary citrate and magnesium. Check your levels. This is best used against a 24-hour urine stone-risk profile, and rechecked on therapy. It is not a substitute for fluid intake. Practical. Fluid is still the single most effective thing. Aim for urine that is pale throughout the day.
Calm the mind at bedtime with L-theanine

What this is for. Settling the mind at bedtime without the morning hangover a sleep drug leaves. What is in it. 200 mg of L-theanine as Suntheanine, the branded form used in most of the research, plus 200 mg of glycine, which has its own small sleep-onset evidence. Sleep pairing. Magnesium plus this at bedtime, as two separate products rather than a blend, so each can be adjusted on its own. Practical. Take 30 to 60 minutes before bed. Not habit forming.
Support satiety and regularity with PHGG fiber

What this is for: gut symptoms, appetite and fullness, and general microbiome support. This is not the cholesterol fibre. If your LDL or ApoB is what we are treating, you need the Lower LDL with psyllium fiber protocol instead. This prebiotic blend does not lower cholesterol the same way. How to take it: 1 scoop daily in water or a shake. Start with half a scoop for a few days if you are prone to bloating. Check in with us if bloating or cramping persists beyond the first two weeks.
Maintain vitamin D and K2 levels

What this is for: a 25-hydroxy vitamin D below 50, limited sun exposure, or bone density concerns. Check your levels: recheck 25-hydroxy vitamin D at 90 days. When you do, we need to count everything you take, not just this product. Do not double up. The daily multivitamin adds 2,000 IU and the prostate product adds 2,400 IU. On all three you would be at roughly 9,400 IU a day, which is fine for short-term repletion but should not continue once your level is normal. Blood thinners: this contains vitamin K2, which interacts with warfarin. If you take warfarin, do not start this without speaking to us, we will use a vitamin D product without K. How to take it: 1 capsule with a meal containing fat.
Support omega-3 index and triglycerides

What this is for: triglycerides above 100, a triglyceride-to-HDL ratio above 3, cardiovascular risk, or a low Omega-3 Index. Dose depends on why you are taking it. For general support, 2 gelcaps daily. For raised triglycerides the dose is 4 to 6 gelcaps daily , which is what reaches the studied 3 to 4 g of EPA plus DHA. Do not use the lower dose and expect the triglyceride effect. Check your levels: recheck triglycerides, and the Omega-3 Index if we ordered it, after about 3 months. Blood thinners: high-dose fish oil thins the blood. If you take warfarin, clopidogrel, apixaban, rivaroxaban or daily aspirin, speak to us before starting, especially at the higher dose. Stop it a week before surgery. How to take it: with food. Freezing the gelcaps reduces fishy aftertaste.
Maintain zinc status

What this is for: a low serum zinc, low dietary intake, or immune support. Check your levels: recheck serum zinc after about 3 months. On longer courses we should also check copper. Why 15 mg and not 30: higher doses taken for months can cause copper deficiency, which shows up as anaemia and nerve symptoms and is easy to miss. 15 mg is the dose that is safe to stay on. Do not double up. The daily multivitamin and the male fertility formula both contain zinc. On more than one you can reach the safe ceiling. How to take it: with food, zinc on an empty stomach causes nausea. Take it 2 hours apart from any antibiotic.
